Klepzig Mill

November 29, 2019January 29, 2020 / midwesthiker / Leave a comment

That last of three shut-ins along Rocky Creek, Klepzig Mill is the more common name for Mill Mountain Shut-in. Built by Prussian German immigrant Walter Klepzig, the site contains an early 20th century sawmill house, cement spillway and various other old foundations.

Hit up some familiar favorites after all that rain on Thursday and Friday. The last few shots of the St Francis are at the campground bridge and the dam. Best part of the trip was sunrise on Black Mountain. #marktwainnationalforest #ozarks #missouri #missourihikes #getoutside

Lilly is shaping up to be quite the little hiker. Explored Lower Rock Creek on Sunday after a long bushwhack to Silver Mines the day before. Beautiful weekend with lots of water flowing and sweet views. #marktwainnationalforest #lowerrockcreek #silvermines #ozarks #mdcdiscovernature #missourihiking #missouri #offtrailhiking #labradorretriever
